Potassium Sorbate, also known as Fermentation Stopper and Wine Stabiliser, by Almost Off Grid. Wine Stabiliser contains potassium sorbate which is used in winemaking to preserve wines prior to bottling and/or clearing to preserve the wine and stop secondary fermentation when used in conjunction with sodium metabisulphite. This item contains 30g Potassium Sorbate in a tamper proof and resealable tub. For preserving dry wines, use 0.5g (approximately one tenth of a teaspoon) per 4.5 litres of liquid. For sweeter wines, use 1g (approximately one fifth of a teaspoon) per 4.5 litres of liquid. Add prior to clarification and/or bottling and mix well. It is recommended to use Potassium Sorbate in homebrewing in conjunction with sodium metabisulphite. Or follow the instructions on the label, or in your homemade wine recipe.
