They are lighter and can be reused. These two come complete with pre-bored holes in the caps fitted with grommets. The handy airlocks fit in the grommets creating an airtight seal. The airlocks work one way, so they let air out of your homebrew whilst not allowing contamination or fruit flies in. Handy airlocks do not 'bloop' like bubbler airlocks, they are very quiet.
