Introducing... the Almost Off Grid App for your phone

We're always looking for ways to make it easier to shop with us, particularly in the midst of a global pandemic. So from today, when you visit our Almost Off Grid website on your mobile, you will be invited to download our app to your phone.

The Almost Off Grid app will make shopping quicker on your phone, yet it takes up very little memory on your device.

How to Install the App

When you browse our site on your phone, you will see this screen inviting you to download the app.

What kind of app is it?

So for the benefit of the geeks among us, this is a Progressive Web App (PWA). PWAs are different from native apps, and you download them from the website itself rather than from an app store.

Google originally developed this app concept. One of the benefits of PWAs are that changes to content only need to be made once on the website. These changes then are automaticaly reflected in the app, regardless of whether the customer is using an iOS or Android device.

So now you know.

When you get to checkout you can select Nationwide delivery (standard or express), local collection from our Horam shop in East Sussex, or local delivery in the TN21 area when you spend £10 or more.

We hope you love the new app and it makes shopping easier for you. Any other suggestions? Get in touch or drop us a Whatsapp message to 07942 636500.
